YOUR Best Body Ever

Hello Friends,
Here's a simple question for you, do you have a love or hate relationship with your body?  As for me, ever since college..yep College... me and my body have been at WAR!!! I was on the women's basketball team at my university and worked out almost everyday. Today...well....not so much...at all!!

Guests from today's show as always were very inspiring. One of the guest used the analogy that our bodies are like a business.  Viki Goldberg co-author of "Bod-E-Nomics: Your Body is Your Business and YOU are the CEO," had an awesome message about this way of thinking. Viki says you have to run your body as a business. One way to do that is hire people who will help you have a successful business/body. For instance, be mindful who you hire as your personal assistant (trainer).

I also gleaned alot of very important information about eating healthy from another guest Nwenna Kai "The Goddess of Raw Foods."  Nwenna gave tips on living a healthier life including:
1.  Eat at home more often
2.  Support and purchase fruits/veggies from farmers markets, food co-ops
3.  Eliminate your meat and dairy intake
4.  Have a smoothie and a salad every day
5.  Stop using artificial sweeteners. Replace them with agave, honey, Stevia.
6.  Eliminate white sugar all together
I'm really going to try to put some of these things into place in my life. I'm 46 and want to live to 86 and beyond. I want to encourage you to do the same!

LIFE Strategies: Easy ways to have a happier life!

Hello Friends,
Wow what an empowering show! If you missed it, please be sure to go to the Outreach Today archives and listen to it.  The experts on today's show really made me feel empowered to do something "today" to make my life better.
Dr. Pamela Love shared advice on minimizing the regrets in our lives. One of the chapters in her book "It's All About Love: Living Your Purpose In Spite of Your Past," that really struck me dealt with forgiveness. Dr. Love gave some tips on forgiving those that have hurt you and I wanted to share them with you. They are:
1. Meditate
2. Visualize something different, "stay in the present"
3. Embrace your feelings, don't deny them
4. Self-talk; tell yourself “I can do this"
5. Give yourself daily positive affirmations
6. Commit your feelings to paper (journal)

Another thing I am guilty of and I'm sure many of you may be as well, is having to many "buts" in our lives. You know reasons why we can't/aren't doing something to make our lives better.  The "would-a, could-a, should-a's" in life.  Dr. Love says you have to take risks. If it doesn't work out try something different.  She says there are lessons to be learned in each experience and it’s necessary to go through it in an effort to get to where you need to be.

Wow. So true isn't it..
